Last season, for the first time since the 1995-96 season, Kobe Bryant wasn't on the court for the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was weird not to see Kobe on the court for the Lakers, but he's been way more active on social media since retiring and that's something we imagine NBA fans have really enjoyed.

He's also in NBA 2K18 with Kevin Garnett doing commentary, so it's not like Bryant has left the basketball world and kept to himself since calling it a career.
This season, basketball fans will reportedly see Kobe on the floor of the Staples Center once again as the team is planning on retiring his jersey on December 18th ahead of a game against the defending-champion Warriors.
Now, the big question that comes to mind immediately is which number of Kobe's will the Lakers retire?  The answer, reportedly, is both '8' and '24.'
Kobe wore No. 8 for ten seasons and No. 24 for ten seasons and had success wearing both.
If (when) the Lakers retire both jerseys, Bryant will be just the 6th player in NBA history to have more than one number retired.
It's an incredible accomplishment to say the least and Kobe absolutely deserves to have both iconic numbers retired.
