Lately, with all the craziness currently transpiring around us, it feels like the world is aching for just a little bit of good news.

We've got some.

While the postponing of almost all sporting events feels like a huge void for sports fans, it was definitely a necessary precaution. So when the NHL announced it would pause it's regular season after the NBA did, all other hockey leagues were quick to follow suit.

This included junior hockey.

So while the players packed their bags and headed home, the London Knights and the Budweiser Gardens found a way to create some good out of a terrible situation: they donated all the food from their postponed game to a local women's shelter.

According to CBC London, Budweiser Gardens was able to donate about $1,000 worth of food to My Sister's Place, which usually would have fed the 400 people in their suites for the two games that were supposed to happen this past weekend.

What an awesome gesture at a time where communities need to stick together the most.

Prior to the pause, the Knights sat atop the OHL's Western Conference with 45 wins in 62 games played.
