Luke Prokop made history on Monday!
The Predators prospect took a brave step, becoming the first player under contract to an NHL team to publicly come out as gay. He made the announcement through a post on his social media and the response from the NHL world was incredible.
To support Luke, the NHL teamed up with the 21-year-old to pick and select a number of LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations to donate $100,000 to! How great is that?
This is a massive step forward in the hockey world. Hopefully this is just the beginning!
