June is Pride Month, and even though there won’t be any NHL hockey on the ice as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the league still plans to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

According to a release from the league’s website this morning , the NHL will feature stories that highlight the LGBTQ+ community’s contributions to the sport, and organizations that make hockey more inclusive all month long.

The league is also hoping to unite the entire online hockey community on June 5th  for NHL Pride Day, encouraging everyone to wear NHL gear coupled with the Pride rainbow, and to use the hashtag #HockeyIsForEveryone when posting to social media.

Last year’s Pride Month was a great success that incited some important and informative conversations.

We imagine this year will be every bit as good, despite the circumstances!
