Just days after it came out that J. Cole was considering a playing career in the NBA, he already has his first interested suitor.

The Detroit Pistons offered J. Cole a tryout on Twitter, complete with a mock-up of what his own Pistons jersey would look like. See, on his 2018 track “FRIENDS,” J. Cole said that they only had 12 slots on the Pistons. (Technically, there are 17, and they just bought a new G League team.)

Well, now the Pistons are making one of those slots available.

Honestly, who knows if this will actually ever materialize, but J. Cole works with NBA skills trainers and has participated in pick-up runs with the pros. (See: The video in the tweet above.) Let’s not rule it out! At the very least, it would a pretty cool PR stunt.

Besides, Tobias Harris has already paved a path for dudes who look like J. Cole playing on the Pistons.
