There aren't too many hockey fans out there that don't enjoy what Brent Burns brings to the table.

One of the more dynamic puck-moving defencemen in the NHL isn't just a point producer: he's one of the more marketable players around with his awesome beard, stunning style and outgoing personality.

On Saturday night, the San Jose Sharks honoured the 33-year-old for playing in his 1000th career regular season game back on December 27th. We've seen in the past players get honoured with a pre-game ceremony, which usually includes a silver hockey stick.

The Sharks went the extra mile with by presenting Burns with a couple of key items that will fit perfectly for his ranch in Texas.

Brent Burns is not your typical hockey player, folks. He actually got a Megalodon shark tooth and a pair of antelope to go along with his two-point night, as the Sharks went on to defeat the Sens 4-1.

Burns' ranch is essentially a zoo with a wildebeest, fallow deer and a couple other animals, so the antelopes will feel right at home where acres on acres to roam freely.

Is there anyone as cool as Burns? After all, he's a five-time NHL all-star, a Norris Trophy winner and has won gold with Team Canada at the World Cup and IIHF World Championship level, and is one kick-ass dad, too.

With 52 points through 47 games, Burns is on pace to set a career-high this season with 91 in his 15th NHL season.
