"I thought I was a hockey player, not a barber."

That's what Nazem Kadri had to say to the media after the Leafs game versus the Sharks, during which he had inadvertently torn a chunk of Joe Thornton's beard in the midst of a scrap. The moment the beard hairs left Kadri's hand and ended up onto the ice, the Sharks training staff was careful in how they gathered the pieces of Joe's beard.

It eventually ended up in backup goaltender Aaron Dell's glove on the Sharks bench, and after that it seems as if the training staff made the decision to bag in case...we don't know what!

Joe's got enough facial hair to spare, so he probably won't be too desperate to pull out some Elmer's and apply the spare hairs back onto his face. The person who shared the image, Randy Hahn, the Sharks play-by-play announcer, pointed out that the team may be preserving the hairs so that they can send it to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Hahn likely said that in jest, but we're 100% all for it.

MAKE IT HAPPEN SHARKS!
