The Tampa Bay Lightning's historic, record-breaking season came to an end Tuesday night as the Blue Jackets completed one of the most shocking upsets in NHL history.

Not only did they beat Tampa Bay to move on to the second round of the playoffs, but they swept the Presidents' Trophy winners in pretty dominating fashion.  Ends to a season don't get more disappointing than this one for the Lightning and the front page of the Tampa Bay Times summed up that awful feeling.

Floored.  Grounded.  Power outage.  Take your pick at a headline, the same feeling will be associated with every one of them, disappointment.  Tampa Bay was the overwhelming favourite and they'll have to wait one year (assuming they make the playoffs again) to exercise the demons from this elimination.

Columbus, on the other hand, will have some time to rest as they await the winner of the Toronto and Boston series, which could be one step closer to being over depending on the result in Game 4.
