The Minnesota Timberwolves are preparing to honour Minneapolis native and legendary musician ‘Prince’ after he passed away two years ago.

Earlier on Tuesday, @TwolvesFRA leaked a photo of the purple themed uniforms that reads ‘Wolves’ across the chest. The font is similar to that of Prince’s album cover ‘Purple Rain’, which was released in 1984. Shorts were also released with the jersey.

Just beautiful.

We tip our hats to the Timberwolves, but they’re not the first pro sports team from Minnesota to salute the icon. The Vikings, Twins and Wild also gave him tributes in the past.

The T-Wolves have been at the centre of the basketball world for all of the wrong reasons as of late, but the first night they rock these jerseys is sure ot be a special one.
