Who is the most popular player in the NHL right now?  That's a tough question to answer because the most popular player might not necessarily be the best player in the league at the moment.

One of the easiest and best ways to measure popularity is by jersey sales, but before we share with you the top-ten top-selling jerseys since the start of the season, take your guess as to who tops the list.

Stanley Cup champion Alex Ovechkin and the player that always seems to be in the same sentence as him, Sidney Crosby, came in at one and two on the list.

Crosby's former teammate, Marc-Andre Fleury, was third, Auston Matthews and Patrick Kane rounded out the top-five.  If there's one single surprising result from this list, it's that Connor McDavid is at No. 8.

It's also worth pointing out that John Tavares didn't crack the top-ten and that might have been normal in previous years, but one would assume his move to Toronto would have led to A LOT of jerseys sold.

Which name on this list is most surprising to you?  Who's not on this list that you thought would be in the top-ten?  Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting us @BarDown.
