On Thursday, the 2019 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest takes place and the legendary Joey Chestnut will be competing in the event once again.

Chestnut is an 11-time champion at this event and last year, he set a new world record by eating 74 hot dogs (and buns) in 10 minutes.  This year, we imagine he'll be looking to increase that total and for those that think this event is literally just eating, check out the training Chestnut does in preparation for the contest.

There's clearly a lot more than eating that goes into the contest, and there's also a lot more to the Chestnut rivalry with Kobayashi that most people didn't know.  Luckily it was highlighted in the latest '30 For 30.'
