The Minnesota Twins defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-3, in their first home game of the shortened season on Tuesday night.

When the clock struck 8:46pm local time in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Twins halted the action and paused for a moment of silence in honour of George Floyd.

The time on the clock denotes how long former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on George Floyd’s neck on May 25th.
