Not many people would consider the Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz to be a rivalry, but that might have changed on Thursday night.

Although the Suns took a 23-20 lead over the Jazz into the second quarter, it was all downhill from there for the visitors and the thought of another loss didn’t take very long to get to them. As Marquese Chriss took off and attempted to throw down a dunk, he ended up coming up short and took a hard fall to the ground. It appeared as if he wasn’t touched on his way up and just came up short on his own, but the Suns saw it from a different angle.

Jared Dudley took out his frustrations on Ricky Rubio by giving him a hard shove as he attempted to head up the court, but once the two got in each other’s faces Chriss stepped back in and threw Rubio to the ground. That’s when multiple guys from both teams got into it.

The Jazz went on to completely crush the Suns 116-88 to improve to 39-30 on the season, while Phoenix falls to 19-50 on the season and sit just one win up on Memphis for last place in the entire league.
