Sometimes, kind gestures can end in utter disaster.

Unfortunately Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog learned that the hard way last night after he attempted to toss a puck into the crowd for a fan. The Swede launched the biscuit into the seats with his stick right into the hands of some dude in an Avs jersey. The only problem was that he tossed a bow straight to what appeared to be his girlfriend’s face accidentally and didn’t seem to notice at first. And to make matters EVEN WORSE, he gave the puck to the fan sitting in front of him.

At least he was trying to be nice? But hey, The man has some sick flow.

Not all puck tosses have been as disastrous as this one. Who could forget the adorable young fan that finally got a puck from Brett Connolly in warm-ups after a few failed attempts?

Or this little dude, who had a priceless reaction after receiving a puck from Nicklas Backstrom.

On the bright side, the Avs ended up hammering the Jets 7-1 in front of the home crowd with Landeskog contributing a goal and an assist in the win. Let’s all just hope the fan’s nose was okay after that impressive catch.
