Last night, the Yankees dropped the first of a three-game series to the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5. While it was most definitely a tough loss for the Yanks, the greatest potential loss of them all was just barely avoided.
During a Jays at bat, a little monarch butterfly just barely escaped with its life. This near-death experience was courtesy of a 95 mph ball thrown by Yankees pitcher Zack Britton.
Honestly, itβs a little magical.
Is this good luck? We think so.
It also reminded us, and many Twitter users, of the infamous Randy Johnson V bird incident.
Honestly, weβd been trying to get this image out of our heads since it happened in 2001.
That one was most definitely NOT good luck
