Courtesy of the custom goalie mask artist David Gunnarsson (@daveart), he has whipped up this absolutely monstrous mask in the design of Lightning McQueen from Cars. Frankly, one of the most iconic movie characters of our time.
It looks like this was the brain child of Austin Rodriguez, who is an assistant equipment manager for the San Jose Sharks. Does this mean we’ll see Martin Jones or Aaron Dell wear this mask at any point? Well, probably not... but they should.
It’s a wild mask. Is it a good one from an aesthetic standpoint? Well, that’s up to you guys to decide for yourself. But it’s definitely a fun one. WE WANT TO SEE SOMEONE WEAR IT.
