The Vancouver Canucks had an… interesting offseason. They brought in players such as Braden Holtby and acquired former Vegas Golden Knights defenceman Nate Schmidt, but lost core players Tyler Toffoli, Chris Tanev, and Jacob Markstrom, the latter two to a division rival. The Canucks’ losses proved to be the Flames’ gain, as they managed to lock both the defneceman and goaltender to multi-year contracts. Fans have been cracking all kinds of jokes about the Flames’ new look heading into next season but we think this jersey sums up the Canucks’ offseason perfectly.

Should Calgary consider this as a new sweater for next season?

Ahhhh, that one’s gotta sting for all the Vancouver fans out there! The reaction in the Twitter thread was, well, what you’d probably expect on a photo of this.

These two teams already meet numerous times throughout the regular season and next year it could be even more. Imagine if the NHL goes to an all-Canadian division next year!

Stay tuned… more jerseys could be on the way.
