It sucks not being able to watch a big game due to things like work or school, but if you've got someone in your life you can trust to send you updates of said game, then you're golden.

Soccer is also a great sport in regards to texting in-game updates because the pace is not as overwhelming as hockey or basketball can be.  Plus, because there aren't goals or shots on goals happening every second, it can give you time to be creative with updates.

This law student perfectly exemplified this fact on Twitter as her boyfriend asked her to send him updates of the England and Tunisia game and she did this:

We can't help but read these texts like a commentator would, which might actually make the texts that much more enjoyable.

Either way, @lightningstarr perfectly nailed the descriptions of each play.  The texts were the perfect length and contained the perfect amount of detail for her boyfriend to be able to understand what was happening in the game.

For anyone hoping @lightningstarr does more of the same for England's second game, you'll be disappointed to know she won't be able to.
