The free agency saga surrounding Cam Newton this off season seemed legitimate.

He had a weird breakup with the Carolina Panthers, and two major surgeries in his career on his throwing shoulder and his foot. Being that he is a mobile quarterback, there was cause for concern about whether or not Newton would be ‘Vintage’ Cam ever again.

Boy, has he been proving everyone wrong. Cam has 4 rushing touchdowns in two games and yes, a vintage performance on Sunday Night Football against the Seahawks where he threw for a career-high in passing yards in a game.

You would assume this would put him among the league's highest-paid quarterbacks, wouldn’t you? Well, think again, because Newton signed for less guaranteed money than these QBs listed below.

You read that right. NATHAN PETERMAN SIGNED FOR MORE GUARANTEED MONEY THAN CAM NEWTON, the guy who did this.

Although Newton can outperform his colleagues with incentives to be paid $7.5 Million, he would only be making the 30th highest salary for a quarterback. Bill Belichick got himself a steal and his Patriots are still looking to run the AFC East yet again.
