Highlight-reel goals are one of our favourite things, and this one out of the NCAA might even beat any that we’ll see in the NHL tonight.

In a game that saw the NCAA’s Niagara Purple Eagles face the RIT Tigers, Niagara’s Eric Cooley was the star of the show, scoring one goal in regulation and the double-overtime marker to win it for his team.

While overtime goals are often the  most celebrated, Cooley’s third period goal to tie it is the one that has hockey fans fawning over it.

Cooley scores mid-spin off a backhand deflection, and we’re both dizzy and impressed.

That. Is. Insane.
