There have been a lot of bloopers in Major League Baseball this season and the Baltimore Orioles have been responsible for a majority of them, but on Tuesday night Detroit Tigers outfielders Brandon Dixon and Niko Goodrum combined for quite possibly the most hilarious play of the season.
In the top of the ninth inning Kyle Seager stepped up to the plate with two home runs on the night and he wasn’t done there. Well, he would have been if he didn’t get some help from Dixon and Goodrum.
This should have been an out, or a double at most if they weren’t able to make the catch, but they somehow managed to team up to send the ball over the outfield wall for Seager’s third home run of the night.
It was all fun and games for the Mariners, while it was a night to forget for the Tigers on Tuesday.
