Aside from Derrick Rose looking like old school D-Rose out on the court, it hasn’t exactly been a season to remember for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team got off to a slow start and it didn’t help that the Jimmy Butler drama was taking over headlines on a daily basis until he was finally shipped off to Philadelphia. The drama didn’t end there, though, as the team parted ways with head coach and president Tom Thibodeau last week.

However, it’s a new chapter in Minnesota now as they no longer have to deal with the Butler drama and they now have Ryan Saunders, son of late Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders, running the show and they’re off to a good start. On Thursday, Andrew Wiggins got to control the music during practice and stuck with Drake all practice long.

As a result, it led to a friendly jab at the Canadian rapper by the T-Wolves’ new media team.

If you’re not familiar with the ‘Drake Curse’, here’s what the Timberwolves were referring to in their tweet.

Although they sit in 11th place in the Western Conference with a 20-21 record, the Timberwolves are only a couple of games out of a playoff spot so there’s still time for them to turn things around and they don’t want Drake to get in the way…
