Almost a week ago, a local news story about a six-month-old golden retriever named Todd protecting his human from a rattlesnake attack made the rounds. Todd was bitten by the snake while out on a walk in Arizona, but is expected to make a full recovery and has been labelled a hero by the internet.

Todd's owner, Paula Godwin, shared the story to Facebook: "It was a beautiful morning but as we were walking down the hill I literally almost stepped on a rattlesnake. But my hero of a puppy Todd saved me He jumped right in front of my leg were I surely would have got bit."

In a happy twist to this story, Todd and Paula have been invited to Sunday’s Arizona Diamondbacks game. Look at how good this boy is!

We truly don’t deserve dogs. What an entire species of beauties. Six-month-old humans would never.

In other dog news, Mitch Marner joined in on the viral #WhatTheFluff challenge, and this is newsworthy because it's adorable.
