Tom Brady turns 41 in August, and NFL fans still have little idea of whether or not the Patriots’ star quarterback intends to retire. The last time he spoke on that topic was when he told Oprah Winfrey in an interview that he saw “an end coming, sooner rather than later,” so, it sure seemed like retirement was in the cards.
On Tuesday, however, Brady left a curious Instagram comment on the topic.
“Cuarenta y cinco”
That means 45 in Spanish, so, obviously, the floodgates have opened for speculation. The prospect of seeing Brady play for four or five more seasons, if he can sustain at a respectable level, is really exciting!
The Patriots, of course, are a machine, so we’re inclined to believe that Brady, Bill Belichick and the buddies will be able to just run it back forever.
Besides, there’s at least one more milestone that he has to break!
