Tommy Wingels was selected 177th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks and he went on to play seven seasons with the team before he was dealt to the Ottawa Senators during the 2016-17 season.

The Evanston, Illinois native finished the 2016-17 campaign with the Senators and ended up playing 36 regular season games and nine playoff games with the team before hitting free agency this past summer.

Now a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, Wingels has an extra member in his cheering section and they team up for the most adorable pre-game ritual in the entire NHL.

Wingels’ daughter, Greta, was born on February 10, 2016, so this is an entirely new experience for her as she’s starting to get used to watching her father play hockey.

We bet we’re going to see the two take part in this pre-game ritual a lot this season and we’re totally fine with that.
