Tuukka Rask is one of the goalies in the league that everyone knows has a pretty short fuse, so reporters were thinking he was about to rage quit practice in Beijing.
Turns out he was just having some fun, but it ended up looking like one of those moments that you think is going to go much differently than it does. He told reporters after the practice that the stick was broken and he decided to have some fun with the “wreckage”, which ended up getting stuck over the net and hanging above their practice.
We’re sure he meant it to be a pretty quick moment if he was making a joke and suddenly a stick gets stuck in the net, reporters are taking pictures of it and we’re sure teammates had some jokes for him as well.
For whatever reason, Rask can never seem to get those moments right when he feels like abusing his stick.
We’re sure this was an awkward moment for a little bit, hopefully they were off the ice before they had to watch someone bring a ladder to get that thing down.
