The 2020-2021 NHL season is slated to start on January 1st, but with little to no solid plans in place regarding the season, that date seems to get less and less likely with each passing day. While hockey fans are restless awaiting the return of their favourite source of entertainment, we imagine that players are also getting more than a little antsy waiting for news about the fate of this season.

The lull reminds us a lot of summers when we were a kid: total carefree freedom that always ended up getting a little boring after a while. What did our parents have us do to avoid this restlessness?

Get a summer job, of course.

It looks like newly-minted Montreal Canadien, Tyler Toffoli, got that memo. We kind of doubt that his parents made him apply, but it looks like he’s finally reached his boiling point with off-season boredom and has gotten a job working children’s birthday parties. Okay, we’re just kidding, but this photo of Toffoli in a unicorn costume at Jeff Carter’s daughter’s 3rd birthday party is some of the best off-season content we've seen yet.

This is seriously hilarious and adorable, but we just have one question.

Tyler, are you taking bookings? Our next party needs a hockey-playing unicorn in order to be truly complete.
