If you watched the prelims at UFC 230 on Saturday night, then you may've asked yourself why exactly is going on with Jordan Rinaldi's right ring finger?

Rinaldi defeated Jason Knight by unanimous decision in a featherweight fight at Madison Square Garden. After his bout, cameras focused in on Rinaldi celebrating his victory where he threw up his hand and stuck out his tongue with a big grinning smile.

In the dimly lit venue, Rinaldi was right in the spotlight, and at that particular point, everyone watching wondered if he suffered an injury to his finger during the fight (and how he managed to hide the pain you'd think he'd be in).

Yup, it actually healed like that.

"So… he bit me. No, he didn’t (laughs). Dirt bike wreck 15 years ago so it’s not special. It breaks every now and then so it hurts.

As he Rinaldi explained in the video, his wife also has a crooked finger, too.

"My wife and I were on like our first or second date at like Steak and Shake after a movie or something – don’t judge me – and I saw her see it and stare at it for a second and I was like come on, man. And then I hid it and she saw it again later and I was like, ‘Yes, it’s crooked.’ And she was like, ‘Mine is too!’ Her left ring finger is crooked – not as much as mine – but it’s crooked. She slammed it in a sliding door when she was young so it was love at first sight. It was meant to be."

Him and his wife truly bonded over their crooked fingers. The 31-year-old secured his seventh victory in his last ten matches to improve to his record to 14-6.

“I should have (shown it off) during the interview, just like, ‘Joe Rogan it’s great to see you,’ (and lift it up) like a Ricky Bobby thing.”
