There’s something weird going on at the University of West Virginia and someone needs to get down to the bottom of it already.

ESPN’s weekly College Gameday basketball crew offers students a chance weekely for $19,000 if they can drain a shot from half in 18 seconds or less. It was time for Virginia to get another shot in Charlottesville, and sophomore Gabirel Simmons took full advantage of his opportunity as he knocked one down from the centre line. This didn’t mark the first time it happened. Nor did it mark the second. Not even the third ladies and gentlemen. It was the FOURTH TIME IN A ROW that a UVA student drained one for cash!

That’s bananas!

Let’s take a walk down memory lane to remember some of the other great shots that helped a student potentially pay off tuition (that’s so sad for us Canadians to read). There have been some pretty dramatic moments in recent years.

FEBRUARY 10TH, 2018: UVA STUDENT ANGUS BINNIE WINS $18K

FEBRUARY 27TH, 2016: ANDREW BOARD DRILLS HIS VERY FIRST ATTEMPT

JANUARY 31ST, 2015: TYLER LEWIS BECOMES A LEGEND

Goosebumps!

If you happen to be at a UVA game at halftime DON’T YOU DARE leave your seat, because it’s more than likely you’ll miss the best part of the entire game.
