Poor use of VAR for French pen. The very fact there is divided opinion, at least publicly, means the original referee โnoโ should have stood. That said, I thought it was probably a pen!

For black & white decisions like offsides it would work perfectly but for fouls, it'll always divide opinion.
People split on French penalty, so put aside whether you think it was a penalty or not... the fact thereโs such a split, that it was such a marginal decision, makes it blatantly the wrong use of VAR. So glad Australia equalised. #FRAAUS #WorldCup
