No one can question Vincent Trocheck’s heart after the 2021 postseason.

The 28-year-old was forced to miss games three and four with what’s now being reported as a sprained MCL but he wasn’t going to watch his teammates go down in an elimination game. Trocheck suited up for Game 5 and still managed to log in 20:58 seconds despite the injury. He revealed that surgery will not be necessary and proceeded to drop one of the most hockey player quotes you’ll ever hear afterward.

Confirmed: #HockeyGuy.

Every year proves to be the same, as players always seem to reveal a crazy injury they played through during the playoffs. Remember two seasons ago, when Roope Hintz played through a broken foot during Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues? Yeah, that was crazy.

Trocheck finished second on the Canes with 43 points in 47 games and should be ready to rock by the start of next season. Just a reminder of how tough hockey players are.
