The equipment may not make the player, but sometimes it can sure help a player perform well.

Thursday, the Canucks visited San Jose to take on the Sharks in a Pacific division tilt. before the start of the game Canucks forward Jake Virtanen let everyone know that he was going to be using his teammate Brock Boeser's stick in an apparent effort to capture some of the rookie's magical skill.

Boeser has been a breakout sensation this season, having recorded 33 points, the most of any rookie this season. So it makes perfect sense that Virtanen would want to tap into whatever driving Boeser's rise.

Despite the difference in curves, Virtanen went on to score a goal with Boeser's stick in the second period, helping cut the Sharks' lead down to one. The goal was Virtanen's 5th on the year, and considering the fact that he's going to use Boeser's stick a second time on Saturday night, you may as well go ahead an put him down for a 6th, 7th and possibly 8th goal, because that stick CLEARLY has some magic to it.
