On Wednesday night, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. officially made his mark in Triple-A baseball, crushing his first home run with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons.

Guerrero Jr. clobbered a curveball from Kyle Wright of the Gwinnett Stripers for a two-run dinger over the centre-field wall at Coca-Cola stadium in the Bisons’ convincing 6-1 victory.

One night later, Vlad was up to his usual tricks, belting yet another bomb in as many nights. This one was hit to left-field, and left the ballpark in quite the hurry.

Here’s another look for what was his 16th homer of the season through all minor league levels.

Known for his bat, one of the biggest challenges Guerrero will face going forward is just how adequate of a fielder he’ll be once he hits the major league level. He showed some solid range in the same game here by throwing off balance and still getting the out.

Heading into Thursday’s game, the son of Vladimir Guerrero was batting .455/.581/.682 with ten hits in 22 at-bats over 8 games.
