If the average person were to lose a tooth at their job, chances are they'll be taking some time to step away from their workplace to have their mouth examined that can take weeks to properly fix.

But when a hockey player loses a tooth, they tend to "shake it off" and go about their business as if they still had a full set of jibs.

Vladimir Tarasenko, ladies and gentlemen, is one of those types of hockey players. In a Wednesday night Central showdown between the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues, Tarasenko took a stick to the face that caused a chiclet to fly out of his mouth out onto the ice.

During a stoppage in play, Tarasenko retrieved the tooth, showed it to the refs and brought it back to the Blues' bench, where he showed off the detached tooth to his teammates and the team trainer.

You'd think he would've been upset about the refs missing the high sticking call that drew blood, but Tarasenko seemed to be perfectly fine with the non-call and the fact that he'll be getting some dental work done in the near future, not to mention a bloody mouth.

A toothless Tarasenko might just be our favourite Tarasenko.

Like Tarasenko did reaching down onto the ice, the Blackhawks grabbed their first win in nine games by shutting out the Blues 1-0.
