Lonzo Ball has shown flashes of greatness early in his NBA career and he's been endorsed by the best player in the game right now, LeBron James.

Less than a week ago, Ball passed James as the youngest player ever to record a triple-double.

Unfortunately for Ball, there have been a lot more bad games than good, with his most recent being a two-point outing on 1-9 shooting against the Lakers.

His awful shooting so far in his rookie season has been a popular topic of conversation, and during the Warriors and Celtics game Thursday night, Golden State's colour commentator took a shot at him after a bad Klay Thompson miss from 3.

Jim Barnett, who had a pretty long NBA career and averaged 11.7 points per game on 43.5% shooting for his career, knows a thing or two about shooting, and he's right about Lonzo right now.

His shots just aren't coming close to going in, especially from long range.

The good thing for Ball is that he's still so young and could just be going through a rough stretch, but the bottom line is he has time to turn things around and be the guy LeBron, the Lakers, fans, and himself expect him to be.
