Ryan Shazier refuses to give up.

Nearly a year ago, the 26-year-old suffered an extremely scary injury in a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Shazier sustained a spinal contusion and was forced to undergo spinal stabilization surgery a few days later.

It’s been a long road to recovery since, but the former first round pick has shown significant progress. He’s gotten back on his feet and most recently shared a video of himself doing deadlifts. Get some tissues ready because this one is about to give you all the feels.

Guy’s an absolute warrior!

Shazier has come a long, long way since the injury and his most recent accomplishment was just another step towards recovery. Seven months ago he was seen walking to the NFL Draft’s podium to announce the team had drafted Terrell Edmunds with its first round pick.

The dead lifts aren’t the only good news Shazier has shared with his fans. Recently he announced that he and his fiancée Michelle Rodriguez are expecting a baby boy in January.

Despite the injury, Shazier seems to be in good spirits. What an inspiration this guy is!!!!
