Philadelphia Flyers ones are some of the most passionate and loudest fans in hockey.

If you're a player on their team and aren't giving 110 percent on every shift or are struggling to meet expectations, expect a reign of boos to be heard inside the Wells Fargo Center whenever they touch the puck.

At last year's trade deadline, Wayne Simmonds got very emotional following his final game in Philly and had one of the more heartwarming and authentic speeches you'll ever hear from an athlete.

Simmonds has yet to make his return to the city of Brotherly Love, and when he does on October 9th, he's hoping there won't be any love coming his ways.

In fact, he's hoping the Flyers faithful boos him.

"To be honest, I think I would be mad if they didn't boo," Simmonds jokingly told reporters at BioSteel camp on Thursday.

The Devils signed the Scarborough, ON product to a one-year, $5 million "show me" type of deal after he recording just 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) in 79 games last seasons.

Simmonds and the Devils will play the Flyers in their home opener.
