The Minnesota Wild are buzzin’ right now and they have their top line to thank for it.

The trio of Mats Zuccarello, Victor Rask and Kirill Kaprizov have combined for a juicy 14 points over their last two contests and have the Wild sitting at 9-6-0. You’d think chemistry like this would be strictly due to three talented players getting grouped together, but that ain’t simply the case for these three. It actually starts with Zuccarello and it has to do with…

The languages he’s able to speak. No joke.

Teammate Marcus Foligno touched on the line’s performance following Minnesota’s 6-2 win over the Sharks on Monday and explained that Zuccarello, who’s Norwegian, can also speak both Swedish and Russian. That right there folks is pretty darn cool.

That’s awesome and an advantage hockey fans don’t even think about when they’re watching three players from different countries play on the same line. So when Zuccs is speaking with Rask about a play… does Kirill just have no idea what they’re talking about? And vice versa with Rask when Zuccs is chatting with Kirill on the ice? Regardless, whatever they’re doing is working pretty well.

So the next time you watch the Wild in action, try to listen to the players communicate on the ice. You might hear a few different languages being spoken out there.
