Which first name creates the best line-up in hockey (minus a goaltender)?  That's probably a question most people haven't thought too hard about, but we decided to do a deep-dive on it and see which first name takes the crown.

A few things to note before we reveal the five-best first name line-ups in hockey, they only feature current players and similar name like John and Jonathan were included in one, but "Mark" and "Marcus/Markus, for example, were too different to include.

Now, the moment you've all been waiting for...it's time for you to decide which first name creates the best line-up in hockey right now.

"John" - John Tavares, Jonathan Toews, Johnny Gaudreau, John Carlson, John Klingberg

The "John" line-up gets a boost from a Jonathan and Johnny and it's stacked with skill up front and on the blueline.

"Alex" - Alex Ovechkin, Aleksander Barkov, Alex DeBrincat, Alex Pietrangelo, Alex Edler

The all "Alex" lineup is sneaky good thanks to the underrated Aleksander Barkov and arguably the greatest goal-scorer of all-time in Ovi.

"Mark" - Mark Scheifele, Mark Stone, Mark Jankowski, Mark Giordano, Marc Staal

The "Mark" line-up doesn't have that scoring punch of the others, but it does feature Scheifele, one of the best two-way players in hockey in Mark Stone and a Norris candidate in Mark Giordano.

"Ryan" - Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Johansen, Ryan O'Reilly, Ryan Suter, Ryan McDonagh

If you like a solid defensive/two-way line-up, the "Ryan" line might be the one for you.

"Jake" - Jake Guentzel, Jake DeBrusk, Jake Virtanen, Jake Muzzin, Jake Gardiner

The "Jake" line features a pair of Leafs on the blueline and some young and exciting talent up front, but it might not be on the level of the other first name lines.
