The Vegas Golden Knights as a whole have shocked the entire hockey community all year long as they hold a 10-point lead in the Pacific Division with 17 regular season games remaining on their schedule.

One player in particular who has shocked everyone, including Golden Knights’ staff, is forward William Karlsson. Through 65 games, the 25-year-old is enjoying a career season right across the board as he leads the team in goals with 35 to go along with 24 assists for 59 points.

Did anyone expect #WilliamKarlsson to put up these numbers? 🔥🤔

With the Golden Knights set to play against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday night for their only meeting in Columbus this season, Jonathan Marchessault asked his teammate if he thinks he’ll get a video tribute at some point during the game and Karlsson had a fantastic response.

You’ve got to love how straight forward Karlsson was with his answer. Considering he only scored 16 goals in 165 games in a Blue Jackets uniform we’re going to go ahead and guess that he doesn’t end up with a video tribute on Tuesday night.
