Fences at NASCAR races are designed to keep any vehicles and objects from flying into the crowd.

They apparently also limit any skydivers from making sure they miss their mark whenever there are strong winds blowing around the stadium.

During the pre-race festivities at the Ford Ecoboost 400, a skydiver missed his grass target and was suspended from the metal fence after his parachute got stuck.

Here's the full video of the mishap that caused the race to be delayed by almost 50 minutes along with an oil spill on the track.

"That's why I don't jump out of airplanes, Rick!"

Lucily, the skydiver sustained no injuries. You can watch the race live on TSN2 until approximately 7pm EST.
