‘Confused Nick Young’ is one of the greatest reaction images on all of the Internet. We use the image of the Los Angeles Lakers’ shooting guard to react to essentially anything that confuses us on a daily bases.
If you’re not familiar with the reaction photo, it’s of Young looking at the camera with a confused look on his face from the YouTube series ‘Thru The Lens,’ with question marks around his head. A screenshot was taken, used to react to something on the Internet, went viral, and the rest is history.
On Saturday night, the Lakers took on the Clippers at the Staples Center, and Lamorne Morris was sitting courtside. Morris plays Winston on the hit television show ‘New Girl.’ The comedian brought up the reaction image of Young on his phone during warmups, put the image next to his own face, yelled Young’s name, and reacted with the same confused look Young is using in the picture. As Swaggy P waited in the shooters lineup, he looked over briefly, spotted Morris, and started dying laughing.
Young is one of the most self-referential players in the NBA, so he understands the way these things work, and never takes himself too seriously.
