Earlier this week, Vince McMahon announced and the XFL unveiled the cities and stadiums of the eight teams that will be competing come 2020.

While the hype around the league will start to grow over the next year, football fans are starting to connect the dots on potential players and coaches that could compete for the New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Houston, St. Louis, Seattle, Dallas and Tampa Bay franchises.

One way the league will be harvesting its player is with the popular social media website, LinkedIn.

While they'll surely be combines, workouts and scouting trips to come, any prospective players or coaches can fill out a job application by filling out a form, attaching a resume and a cover letter.

Surely at some point a highlight pack will be needed to get in the shortlist of players, but regardless, it's interesting to see the league is adapting to the modern way of seeking talent in the workforce.

If any former college players that are looking to give football another shot and believe they might be an ideal "candidate" to play in the alternative league, then why not at least give it a shot?

We're not entirely sure if the league will last unlike the first attempt, but if you're a fan of football you can't help but feel the slightest amount of intrigue just to see how it will all work out.
