The Arizona Coyotes wrapped up a four-game road trip with a game against the Red Wings in Detroit on Tuesday night and they had a special guest in attendance for the night.

Just over a month ago, Rick Tocchet and the Coyotes surprised cancer survivor Will Pogue with a once-in-a-lifetime trip with the boys up to Detroit and that day came on Tuesday.

The young Coyotes fan got his day started in Detroit by taking in the team’s morning skate from their bench. Of course, when a team has a special guest watching practice from the bench, most of the guys on the team do whatever they can to make them feel right at home.

Although Pogue’s interaction with Jason Demers on the bench was a quick one, the Coyotes defenceman made plenty of time for the young fan following practice and even gave him a restaurant recommendation for his time in the Motor City.

He also got some equipment advice from captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson and head coach Rick Tocchet.

Coach Tocchet even had Will give the guys some advice before their upcoming battle.

Although the Coyotes didn’t pick up the win for Will on the road in Detroit they still treated him to the ultimate hockey experience and provided him with memories he will never forget.

Oh yeah, he also took Demers’ restaurant recommendation and made a stop at Slows during his lunch break.
