It's been a rough week for sports fans living in Washington.

Last Wednesday, the Capitals were eliminated from the NHL playoffs in the second round, and Monday night the Wizards joined them by losing in Game 7 to the Celtics in the second round.

The Capitals loss probably hurt a lot more due to the fact that they won the Presidents' Trophy again and couldn't even make it to the Conference final.

Still, you'd think after a little less than a week it couldn't get any worse for Caps fans, right?  Wrong, and here are 3 stats to prove that.

19 Years and Counting

There's not really much to say about this one other than that is some awful timing.

Can't Close

The Capitals are on the hook for six of those losses in closeout games to get to a Conference Final.

Boston Is Better

And, to top it off, a friendly reminder to Capitals fans that Boston fans are living the good life.
