Thursday night, the Calgary Flames have another opportunity to end one of the worst losing streaks in sports in recent memory as they face the Anaheim Ducks on the road in Game 1 of their first round series.

By now, everyone knows the numbers and dates, but here's a quick reminder, the Flames haven't won a regular season game in Anaheim since 2004 and they haven't won a game (playoffs included) in Anaheim since April 25th of 2006.

That win was during the first round of the playoffs against the Ducks and here are 5 fun facts about the last time the Flames won in any fashion in Anaheim.

Three is a Lucky Number

Only three players from that Flames playoff team in 2006 that last beat the Ducks in Anaheim are still in the NHL, Jarome Iginla, Dion Phaneuf and Andrew Ference (he's on IR, so technically he's not out of the league yet).

Iginla and Ference both had an assist in the 5-2 win.

Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf were both rookies the last time Calgary won in Anaheim.

In other words, the dynamic duo has lost just once on home ice in their careers against the Flames.

Speaking of Corey Perry, everyone recognizes him thanks to his number, which is 10.

In his rookie season, however, he wore 61.  Perry's the only Duck ever to wear the number.

Every hockey fan's favourite version of the Ducks was when they were Mighty, and the last time the Flames beat them in Anaheim was during the last season in which they were Mighty.

Anaheim dropped the 'mighty' the next season and won the Stanley Cup.

After leading the Flames to the Cup Finals in the 2003-04 season, Darryl Sutter couldn't lead the Flames past the first round.

He was fired after just two full seasons behind the bench, and since then, the Flames haven't been past the second round of the playoffs.

They've also gone through five different coaches, all of which have fewer combined wins in Anaheim that Sutter during their time in Calgary.

As for Darryl, he took five seasons off from being a head coach, returned in the 2011-12 season as coach of the Kings and led them to a Stanley Cup win.
