Andrew Ference played 16 seasons in the NHL and is one of the few players who played for both the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames during their career.

The Edmonton, Alberta native is now retired and is doing a lot of things to stay busy. One of the things he does is co-own a craft brewery in Edmonton called Polar Park Brewing, and they recently released a beer just for Oilers fans to celebrate their return to the postseason in over a decade.

The beer is only located at a few locations in Edmonton, and it’s not the first time his company has used the Oilers as inspiration for a beer.

They’re not the only brewery to get some inspiration from a player for a type of beer. Brix City Brewing in New Jersey created a beer in honour of Jaromir Jagr.
