Brawls don't happen often in baseball, but when they do, they are awesome.

The sports world was reminded of that fact Monday as Bryce Harper went after Hunter Strickland after he nailed him with a pitch.

As many were quick to point out, Giants catcher Buster Posey didn't get involved in the brawl at all, and people gave him a bit of a hard time for not getting in on it.

After the game, Posey explained why he chose to stay out of the brawl, and his explanation is perfectly reasonable.

Posey's not wrong about it being a little dangerous.

Plus, considering he's in the middle of a career year and the Giants are 11 games back in the NL West, they need Posey on the field and not injured and fans should be happy he didn't decided to get involved.
