NHL goalies love to go the extra mile when they get to take part in an outdoor hockey game of any sort. Whether it’s the Stadium Series, Centennial Classic or the Winter Classic, goalies love to use the special event as an excuse to get a spiffy new mask and perhaps some new equipment to match the uniforms their team plans on wearing that day.

It appears that the St. Louis Blues goalie tandem of Jake Allen and Carter Hutton are a little more prepared and excited than any of the other goalies participating in an outdoor game this year. Earlier this week, Allen shared his throwback equipment and mask, and now his partner Carter Hutton is following in his footsteps.

The Cardinals are the pride and joy of St. Louis, so you can bet everyone is a fan of this mask. Hutton’s mask includes the years the Cardinals won the World Series, images of past and present players such as Yadier Molina, Ozzie Smith and Stan Musial, and also included the team’s retired numbers.

Hutton isn’t the only one showing love for the city’s baseball team on his Winter Classic mask. Chicago Blackhawks goalie Scott Darling’s mask is an awesome tribute to the Chicago Cubs.

Allen and Crawford will most likely get the start on Monday, but Hutton and Darling definitely have the sweeter masks.
