The Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor saga has taken a couple of interesting turns over the past couple of weeks.

It started with Floyd revealing how much he offered Conor for a fight, which obviously he turned down.

Then Dana White made an offer to Mayweather and he had a NSFW response to it which can be summed up like this, he thought it was an insulting offer.

At the end of the day, we're back to square one with both guys claiming they want to fight, but neither willing to give in when it comes to negotiations and payouts for the potential fight.

Wednesday, something else happened that's been happening a ton throughout the McGregor/Mayweather saga, trolling, and this time Floyd was the one to do it by way of comparing his net worth to Conor's.

Pretty funny, but there's one problem, those numbers might not be factually correct, and it's not even close as some people pointed out to Mayweather.

Before Nate Diaz and McGregor went toe-to-toe for the second time, Conor was named by Frobes as the 85th highest paid athlete of the year as he made a reported $22 million.

McGregor earned a disclosed three million for his rematch against Diaz and his earnings for his victory against Eddie Alvarez haven't been made public as of yet.

Safe to say Floyd's numbers are probably wrong, and that includes his own net worth, too.

According to Forbes, Mayweather's net worth in 2016 was $340 million, still a lot more than McGregor's, but certainly not as much as his tweet suggests.

At the end of the day, whether his facts are correct or not doesn't really matter.  McGregor will most likely have a response and the two might go back and forth with verbal jabs.

That being said, all anyone wants to see at this point is real jabs, and fans won't be satisfied until that happens.
